Table of Contents

For years, Trash & Stash has helped homeowners and businesses clear space with full-service junk removal. Our crew shows up, does the lifting, loads everything, and takes it away.

But not every project needs a crew.

Sometimes you have the time, people, and ability to do the work yourself. You just need somewhere for everything to go.

That’s why Trash & Stash is now offering 18-yard roll-off dumpster rentals in Charlotte, Fort Mill, and surrounding communities.

A DIY Alternative to Full-Service Junk Removal

Our goal has always been to make getting rid of stuff easier. Dumpster rental gives our customers another way to do that.

With full-service junk removal, you point to what needs to go and our team handles the rest. Dumpster rental works a little differently: we deliver the container, you load it on your schedule, and we haul it away when you’re finished.

It’s a simple, budget-friendly option for customers who don’t mind doing the loading themselves.

Our 18-Yard Dumpster Rental

Our standard rental is $425 and includes:

  • One 18-yard roll-off dumpster
  • Delivery and pickup
  • Up to 3 days of use
  • 1 ton (2,000 lbs.) of disposal

Need more time? Additional days are available for $35 per day, subject to availability. Weekly and monthly rental rates are also available for longer projects.

At approximately 14 feet long and 6 feet high, the container provides substantial capacity without the footprint of a much larger commercial dumpster. Rear doors also allow you to walk larger items into the container instead of having to lift everything over the side.

What Can You Use an 18-Yard Dumpster For?

For homeowners, an 18-yard dumpster can be a great fit for moving and downsizing, estate and household cleanouts, garage or basement projects, furniture, light remodeling projects, and general decluttering.

It’s also useful for businesses. Offices, retailers, property managers, contractors, warehouses, and other commercial customers can use dumpster rentals for property turnovers, office cleanouts, fixture removal, packaging materials, recurring facility projects, and light construction or renovation debris.

If you’re unsure whether 18 yards will be enough, send us a few photos or tell us about the project. We’ll help you determine whether one container should do the job or whether you should plan for a swap-out.

What Can Go in the Dumpster?

Most common household and commercial materials are accepted, including furniture, mattresses, household goods, boxes, pallets, wood, non-hazardous junk, light construction debris, and many appliances.

We also accept certain yard debris, including grass clippings, branches, and light tree trunks under 8 inches in diameter.

There are some important exceptions. Dirt, rock, masonry, large logs and trees cannot go into the dumpster, nor can hazardous or regulated materials such as paint, chemicals, solvents, oils, batteries, tires, and electronics.

The dumpster has a maximum loaded weight of 2.5 tons (5,000 lbs.), regardless of the material being loaded.

Have something that can’t go in the dumpster? Ask us. Trash & Stash can handle many specialty materials separately through our full-service removal operation, including items such as refrigerators that require separate handling.

What About Recycling and Landfill Diversion?

event dumpster usage and material removal

Trash & Stash was built around the idea that getting rid of something doesn’t automatically mean it belongs in a landfill.

Dumpster rental does change how we’re able to manage materials, however.

With our full-service junk removal, our team can identify items and materials for donation, reuse, resale, recycling, or specialized disposal as we handle the job. With a customer-loaded dumpster, mixed materials generally have to be managed as a mixed load.

If recycling or landfill diversion is important to your project, talk to us before you start loading. We can help identify materials that should be kept separate and discuss options for managing those materials outside of the mixed dumpster load.

Dumpster Rental or Full-Service Junk Removal?

It really comes down to how much work you want to do.

Dumpster rental is a good choice when you have the time, space, and ability to load the material yourself and want a more budget-conscious solution.

Full-service junk removal is the better choice when you want the project handled quickly, have heavy or difficult items, need materials removed from throughout a home or business, or simply don’t want to do the lifting.

Junk removal was not my first career choice. It was my best choice though. I used to run events for a living. I did that for almost 15 years until a global pandemic launched me into the junk removal business. I’m an expert in operations, team building & creating incredible customer experiences. And... I love helping people simplify their lives.
